Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Skyler White on the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting during her time at the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. She was a theatre student at Northwestern University and spent a semester studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to TV and film roles. Anna got her big break in 1992 when she played Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. She was then cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler played Martha Bullock on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully as well as Deadwood was a different film that she was a part of. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. in 2022 Gunn also was a part of a four-part audio-play series known as "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's personal life.
